Introduction Poems for Happiness Ask me about stuff or things
My name, Little Bear was given to me by a Lakota elder, who saw me as a ‘warrior bear’, though I am a small guy, thus Little in the name. However, the importance of the name is lost in the common perception of ‘little’. In my name, the word/title ’little’ more so refers to the minimal characteristics of bear in my totem. Although I have few characteristics of bear in my totem, they are of great importance to my character. Other animals in my totem are deer, otter, wolf, eagle, and bear.
As mercury is in retrograde for approximately the next month, I find myself in the mindset of bear medicine. Introspectively setting intentions while I await a grand journey to the north, await spring, and consider my next move.
I set this time aside to be flexible, to go with the flow, and to be introspective. I see this time as a growth period. There is always good to come from the expected chaos.
Time is good.
My best,
The joyful Johnny Pistol

Haven’t posted lately for a few reasons. My borther is still fairly sick, my work is keeping me busy, and my free time is spent trying to make my new year’s resolutions turn to reality=making me a better man. So, here is a well needed update, for me at least.
There are a lot of great things happening. I am on roads of healing and growing. All signs point to greatness. From new great friends to planning a potentially mindblowing vacation up north. Work is going well and I am finally finding a place of comfort with the folks I work with.
I realized that these past few months have been very introspective, whether or not I knew that at the moment or not. Mostly, I was unaware of the growth that came from these past few months until recently, when I consciously took a look back at my interactions and intentions.
I know that the next few weeks, if not months, are going to grow in greatness for self-healing and self-growth for me. I am looking forward to a trip to the north to look at land and meet some folks who are interested in farming. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and reconnecting—after at least two years since my last visit. Although I am enjoying my work, I would like to find something new and more testing than my current job. But for now, I am grateful to have a job and grateful to have many days to look forward to.
I hope you all are well.
All my best, as always,
the joyfull johnny pistol
At the very moment, when you catch something on your line, there will be a distraction that will either pull you further into the catch or drift you away to a moment of rippling waters. Both are worth stewing in. Don’t take either for granted.
This week my horoscope tells me to not touch the butterflies, but let them touch me. So…alright. Stand back, I will. Come land, flutterbies.
I’d like a standing desk, like Hemmingway, to work at. One of my projects for this year is to make a standing desk, perhaps on wheels to take out to the porch, so that I can work on my art-drawings and writing-while standing. I’m really into these standing desks lately.
